Welcome to Sarratt Village Hall

Our Village Hall hosts many events during the year and ones that are open to the public, such as the Sarratt Festival of Music (see http://www.sarrattfestivalofmusic.co.uk/) and the Horticultural Society Shows, as well as the monthly Sarratt Care coffee mornings and community lunches, are announced in the News & Events section and in the "What's On" section of the Sarratt Village website - http://www.sarrattvillage.co.uk/ .

Sarratt Village Hall AGM Wednesday 10th January 2024 at 8 pm

Your Village Hall is incorporated as a Charitable Trust and run by a Management Committee of volunteers, both from local organisations and elected.

Every year the committee holds an AGM to report on the previous year’s operations and at which all inhabitants of the area of eighteen years and upward are entitled to attend and vote for the Elected Members of the committee to serve alongside the  Representative Members, which are appointed by the local clubs and societies.

Our village hall is an important focal point of our village community, and depends on the support of volunteers to run it and look after it. This is not a particularly onerous task, but it does need doing for our village.

The committee is allowed to have 8 volunteer elected members, and not all 8 places are likely to be filled by re-election of existing members, so if anyone is interested in joining the committee and helping run our village hall, please let Larry Griffiths know on 265386.

You are all invited to attend to hear our progress to date at 8 pm on Wednesday 10th January 2024 in the village hall, and to help select the Elected Members!

Ther hall is also a popular venue for small private events and functions, such as small weddings and engagement parties, bar mitzvahs and family parties, as well as corporate events, and has even been used by film and television crews - e.g. 'French and Saunders' and 'Jonathon Creek' have both been filmed in the hall - and this year the BBC has broadcast 'Any Questions' from the hall, and recorded 'Gardener's Question Time' here as well!

Below is the Any Questions panel - live from Sarratt on National Radio!

Our village hall is very versatile with five different rooms of varying sizes - please see "Hall Facilities" section - all of which can be booked individually or together by the hour.

The hall is situated on the green in our pretty Hertfordshire village and is suitable for all types of private functions, parties and wedding receptions, and hirers can arrange for a full bar service and catering to be provided if required.

The hall, located in South West Hertfordshire, is near to Watford and Rickmansworth, and is easily accessible from North West London, and Buckinghamshire.
